FORMER RYLAND HOMES EXECUTIVE WILL OVERSEE ACQUISITIONS, DEVELOPMENT, HOMEBUILDING AND SALES
FrontDoor Communities announced today it has expanded its Atlanta office with the addition of Eric White, who will serve as the firm’s division vice president. Chief among White’s duties will be managing FrontDoor’s real estate acquisitions, development, homebuilding and sales in Atlanta. White brings more than 20 years of experience to his new role.
“FrontDoor Communities is growing quickly as the housing market rebounds, and we are poised to kick off new developments in our hometown of Atlanta,” said Terry Russell, chief executive officer of FrontDoor. “An accomplished industry veteran, Eric White is the ideal person to oversee our Atlanta activity.”
Prior to joining FrontDoor, White worked at Ryland Homes in Atlanta, where he spent the past 19 years. He also assisted the Atlanta Home Builders Association and the Council for Quality Growth network with government municipalities to streamline building procedures.
“Eric has an impressive list of career accomplishments and we are delighted to have him join the FrontDoor family,” Russell said. “Based on his previous successes, I’m confident Eric will be a great asset to our team and a tremendous value for our partners and communities.”
White earned his Bachelor of Aerospace Engineering degree from Auburn University. Following his undergraduate studies, he spent five years as a submarine officer in the United States Navy’s nuclear power program, and is a veteran of the Gulf War. He has been an Atlanta resident for more than 20 years.
Currently, FrontDoor Communities has two Atlanta projects planned to launch in fall 2013 that will be the company’s first developments in the metro area. The company also has communities in Orlando, Naples and Charleston.
